Today was the seniors’ last day of school and I felt really sad about them leaving. Me having separation anxiety + everyone going “I’LL MISS YOU!!!” just made things 10x harder for me. Throughout the day, I kept bumping into random seniors that I haven’t seen or spoken to in a while, and lots of hugs and comforting words were exchanged. Strangely, I didn’t feel like crying, though. I was sad, but it was a good kind of sad. The kind of sad that lets you know that it’s time to let go. Throughout my 3 years in high school so far, I’ve grown especially attached to this group of seniors mainly because of the seniors on badminton that I’ve grown to know and love. Those who supported me and cheered me on when I felt like giving up and those who gave me a kick every once in a while to help keep me going. I really cherish this particular group of seniors.
During lunch, we had the inspirational awards for teachers and it was nice getting to see some of my old teachers. Especially Stover, Grover and Ms. Li. I can’t believe that we’re juniors and about to become incoming seniors already. Oh, how time flies. I’ve been feeling really nostalgic lately, too.

This morning, my old Geometry teacher, Mrs. Matarangas, passed away due to a sickness that she has been fighting. Although I rarely see her around anymore, every time that I do, she always makes sure to smile at me and give me a wave. Even though she probably doesn’t remember my name, remembering my face and remembering me as “the girl who sat next to Tiffany” is good enough for me because that was enough for her to constantly greet me every time we crossed paths. I was in shock for most of the afternoon after I got home, but after taking a nap, I came to the realization that I should not mourn for her. I should not mourn for her because she is now being taken care of by the lord, and I should have faith that she is in a better place now. She is free from her sickness and all the pain that it brought her and although she will be missed, her time has come.

Introducing French Club’s 2012 - 2013 Officers!!
This morning, we took the dreaded AP Lang exam. I don’t want to jinx anything, but I don’t think it was too hard. I’m not saying it was easy, but it wasn’t extremely hard either. It was “do-able” (in the words of Mrs. Bailey). I was glad that I was at least able to answer every single MC question before time was up because a lot of people said that they didn’t have enough time to finish. I was also able to pace myself and write all 3 essays within the allotted time. I actually kind of liked some of the stories that we read and the essays that we had to write. English nerd at its finest.
After the AP Lang exam, Siena drove Reuben, Alyanna and I to go get food and she treated me to tea from Tapioca Express. That was probably the most “badass” stunt I’ve ever pulled in my high school career. They kept teasing me for being chicken because I was really afraid of leaving campus and I got the jitters as we left. I’m a wimp ok.

Holy crap I fell behind on this project
Sometimes when I’m left home alone, I’m also left with the task of fending for myself, so I just cook whatever I feel like making. Today I made Udon noodles with bbq chicken and I have to say, it isn’t half bad!

Today after school, I went over to Danh’s house and we hung out. We also took the same exact pictures that we’ve been taking since Freshman year just to see how much we’ve changed. Initially, it was like Danh’s hair just gets blonder each year as mine gets longer, but since I impulsively chopped off my hair last week, it didn’t turn out as planned. I think that we both look a lot older, but she’s aged more than I have. That’s a good thing for me. ^___^
In chem, we had a party with food and games and movies. Sadly, over the weekend, I got my braces tightened and my teeth hurt a lot, so I couldn’t eat any of the food. :( Well, I did eat some jello and a couple of soft cookies, but I didn’t get to eat any of the good food that we had… and we had A LOT of good food. /sighsighsigh. One day, having to go through this pain + not being able to eat will pay off when my teeth are straight.

Today, we had Inspirational Awards Ceremony during after school! It was a really emotional day for me. I got around 8 awards from AMAZING people and reading each and every one that I got almost brought me to tears. I don’t know what I’ve done to deserve to have such wonderful people in my life, but I’m so glad that I’ve been blessed with such great friends. Even Mrs. Bailey wrote me one and it was the sweetest thing ever. :’) Today was also Alex + Emily’s last big event as Co-Presidents (Emily was AWOL today). Alex gave his last speech as president and it was so… moving. Idk. I was really sad to see him sign off, but when he passed the stage over to Jeffrey and Thien, I knew that our club will be in good hands. Thien + Jeffrey handed out the awards for Board + Office individually (instead of randomly passing them out like we did for other people) and before they gave it, they announced it like, “this is for a girl/guy who…” and when Jeffrey announced mine, I knew instantly that it was for me. Ir was so sweet and it was a really nice closing bonding event for all of us, especially since the seniors will be leaving us soon. I really do love these people. <3

So yup, I impulsively cut my hair short. It’s actually a couple inches longer than it is in this picture, but this is how short I originally wanted it. Sadly, my aunt refused to cut it this short because she said it would look “”“ugly”“”. I’ll get it cut this short over summer.
Today was a boring day. I didn’t do much of anything in any of my classes. School is basically over because after AP Exams, I have nothing to do in my classes. Summer mode all day, every day.

My hair has gotten so long. *____* So today I went to my aunt’s house to get a haircut and I was really indecisive as to what I wanted to do with my hair. I really wanted to just chop it all off (because it’s going to get really hot during summer and I hate having long hair in hot weather) but at the same time, I had a feeling that I would miss the long hair that I took so long to grow. Decisions, decisions.
Today was a really crazy day….. only 9 people (Connie, Jack, Alyza, Thai, Harjot, Melinda, Michelle, Steven, and I) + Mrs. Bailey were in our AP Chem class today because everyone else was out taking the AP Calc AP Exam. About halfway through 3rd period, our school went into a Code Blue and we had to lock all of the doors. At first, we didn’t panic about it at all. After an hour or so, we even made bids as to what time we would be released! Connie was our connection to the outside world with her iPhone, and we soon learned that we were on code blue because there was suspicious activity going on near our school - someone reported seeing a man walk onto campus with a gun tucked into his jacket. I think overall, we spent at least 5 hours in that class together! We had lots of fun, though. I love Mrs. Bailey. She went through all her cabinets and fed us all the candy she could find, and we spent the 5 hours playing cards (spoons, 13, “murder” - which was ironic because of the situation that we were in), eating, and watching movies on Mrs. Bailey’s laptop. Although being stuck in one classroom for 5+ hours would normally be a pain, I was glad that out of all of my classes, I was stuck in that one.

I don’t even know…….
Today was an easy day! I didn’t really do much in any of my classes. Like, at all. Chem was basically a 2-hour free period. Well, for me + the pre-calc students. Mrs. Bailey gave us the time to make class a “study hall” for those taking the calc exam tomorrow. And then I did nothing in any of my other classes because I was too brain dead.

The dreaded day has come upon us, may the curve be ever in our favours~
Today we took the AP Chem exam and it was probably the hardest test I have ever taken for that class. EVER. The multiple choice was killer. I guessed on most of it. The FRQ was pretty hard as well. Some questions I was able to answer completely, but others had lots of blank spots. I’m so worried. :x After a long, stressful couple of hours of AP testing, it was lunch, then AP Lang. In class, we had a discussion about god knows what. I wasn’t paying attention because my attention span had been shot. I was just sitting in class playing with these fish plushies that Hoa had. We got in trouble by Mrs. Winchester for talking, but I was like w/e about it. I had no attention span at all. Then I went to pre-calc and fell asleep in class because I was basically done for the day.
After school, I spent the rest of the day resting up. I was so emotionally exhausted, it was ridiculous. On the bright side, I had basically no homework, so I had time to paint my nails! :)

Calvin is the sweetest! I think he felt bad about cancelling on me the day before (because he knew how much I was looking forward to getting milk tea), because today in the afternoon (also because he knew I don’t wake up ‘til noon), he showed up at my doorstep with milk tea!!!! :))) I think it was supposed to be a surprise, but he’s not very slick about it.

Friday yay!
Today in Chem, we didn’t do much. We just had time to review and work on things that we needed to for the AP Chem AP test on Monday. In History, we had a guest presenter come talk to us about his story and the history of his people. It was really interesting and he’s a really good public speaker. I was like mesmerized with his words and I was totally tuned into every word he was saying. In French, we worked more on our writing. In Lang, we wrote an in-class essay. It wasn’t too bad, I think. Pre-calc was the usual, boring routine.
After school, Nancy and I walked to TapEx to get milk tea because I was craving it like crazy. At first, Calvin was supposed to go too, but he cancelled, so we went without him.
